Declared a Site of Cultural Interest.
A building constructed in the 15th century, the interior of which has now been fully restored to house the Esteban Vicente Museum of Contemporary Art.
It was commissioned by Prince Henry (Henry IV upon his accession to the throne) on the site of the house of Ruy Díaz. The Catholic Monarchs stayed there on several occasions and, upon the death of Isabella the Catholic, it was divided amongst several families.
On the south side, Juan López de Medina and his wife Catalina de Barros founded the Hospital de Viejos, building the chapel with a wooden coffered ceiling and the recumbent statues of the founders in niches on either side of the chancel.
