BY TRAIN
AVE (High Speed Train) – SEGOVIA GUIOMAR
(Line Madrid – Segovia - Valladolid)
RENFE offers two alternatives to reach Segovia by train. On the one hand, the Spanish High Speed (AVE) allows access from Madrid and Valladolid in just 30 minutes! The Segovia-Guiomar station, located 6 kilometers from the city center, also receives passengers from A Coruña, Albacete, Alicante, Bilbao, Burgos, Gijón, Guadalajara, León, Lugo, Oviedo, Palencia, Salamanca, San Sebastián, Santander, Vitoria and Zamora.
Segovia is part of the Ave Cities Network, an association that brings together the country's main tourist destinations connected by high-speed rail. Its star product, Renfe Spain Pass, allows non-residents in our country to choose as many trips as they wish and buy them up to 6 months in advance. It includes all AVE trains as well as long and medium distance trains: the most comfortable way to discover Spain.
There is an additional connection with Madrid thanks to the regional train, which connects the Atocha station with the Segovia station and allows communication between several towns on both sides of the Sierra de Guadarrama. In this case, it is necessary to take the C-8 commuter line to Cercedilla and change to the regional train in this town. This option takes about 2 hours but in exchange the station is a few minutes walk from the center.
