Segovia is part of the AVE Cities Network, an association that brings together the country’s main tourist destinations linked by high-speed rail. Its flagship product, the Renfe Spain Pass, allows non-residents to choose as many journeys as they wish and book them up to 6 months in advance. It covers all AVE trains as well as long- and medium-distance services: the most convenient way to discover Spain.

BY CAR
Its central location and the extensive road network make it easy to reach our city. Motorways such as the A-6 allow you to reach us from Madrid in just an hour, and in an hour and a half from the cities of Toledo and Guadalajara.
The main cities in our region are also just a stone’s throw away: it takes just over 60 minutes from Valladolid (A-601) and Ávila (N-110 and AP-51); 90 minutes from Salamanca (A-50 and N-110), 2 hours from Burgos (N-110 and A-1) or Zamora (A-6 and A-11). The journey by national road takes just over 2 hours from Soria and almost 3 hours from León (A-6), which are the furthest away.

BY BUS
Segovia’s bus station is situated on Paseo Ezequiel González, just a few minutes from the city centre.
AVANZA connects Madrid, Ávila and Salamanca with Segovia. It also provides services from major towns in the province, such as El Espinar.
Furthermore, LINECAR offers a regular passenger service between the towns of Valladolid and Segovia (via Cuéllar). It also connects the towns of Arévalo (Ávila) and Aranda de Duero (Burgos) with Segovia. It also facilitates travel from towns such as the Royal Site of San Ildefonso, La Lastrilla, Santa María La Real de Nieva, Coca, Riaza and Ayllón.
There are also a large number of daily services from surrounding towns thanks to the metropolitan routes promoted by the Regional Government of Castile and León.
BY TRAIN
There are currently two options if you wish to travel to our city by train.
Firstly, the high-speed service connects Madrid and Valladolid in just 30 minutes!
Via Segovia-Guiomar station, situated 6 kilometres from the city centre, RENFE operates services from A Coruña, Albacete, Alicante, Bilbao, Burgos, Gijón, Guadalajara, León, Lugo, Oviedo, Palencia, Salamanca, San Sebastián, Santander, Vitoria and Zamora, amongst others.
The French company OUIGO, for its part, connects the towns of Albacete, Alicante, Cuenca, Madrid and Valladolid with our city.
RENFE operates an additional connection to Madrid via the regional train, which links Atocha station with Segovia station and provides a link between various towns on both sides of the Sierra de Guadarrama. In this case, you need to take the C-8 commuter line to Cercedilla and change to the regional train there.
This option takes around 2 hours, but the station is just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre.
BY PLAIN
The nearest airport to our city is Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, situated in the Madrid town of Barajas, 102 kilometres away. This airport ranks first in Spain in terms of passenger traffic, air freight and number of operations. It ranks fifth amongst European airports and fifteenth in the world in terms of passenger traffic.
Another option is Valladolid Airport, situated in the town of Villanubla, which offers domestic flights from Barcelona–El Prat, Gran Canaria and Palma de Mallorca. It is 125 km away.
