At the Bishops’ Residence

16th century. Formerly the Palace of the Salcedo family, converted into the Bishop’s Palace around 1750, until 1970.

A Renaissance rusticated façade, unrivalled in the capital’s aristocratic architecture. The entrance features scenes from the mythical life of Hercules. Neoclassical courtyard (18th century).

The tour of the building consists of two parts: the exhibition rooms, where you can see liturgical gold and silverware, sculpture, paintings, textiles, etc.; and the state rooms of the palace, which served as reception and living quarters for the bishops of Segovia until recent times.
