Episcopal Palace

In the residence of the bishops

Built in the 16th century, this was the former Palace of the Salcedo family, which was converted into the Episcopal Palace around 1750, and used as such until 1970.

It has a Renaissance cushioned façade, unparalleled within Segovia. The façade has scenes from the mythical life of Hercules, which leads into an 18th century neoclassical courtyard.

The building is divided into two parts: the exhibition rooms where you can see objects of liturgical goldsmithery, sculpture, painting and textiles. Next is the noble rooms of the palace, which served as the office and residence of the bishops of Segovia until recent times.
