San Andrés Gate

Declared a Site of Cultural Interest
Also known as Puerta or Arco del Socorro. It is one of three gates that remain in the city walls, giving it great historical value, although its current appearance is the result of renovations carried out in the late 15th and early 16th centuries.
A place associated with Quevedo par excellence, a plaque inside the arch reminds us of the adventures of the characters in El Buscón through the narrow, winding streets of the Jewish quarter.
You can access the walls to enjoy magnificent views of the old Jewish quarter by purchasing a ticket at the nearby Tourist Information Point of La Muralla, in the Plaza del Socorro.
