Plateresque exuberance
Built in the 16th century, it was possibly designed by Rodrigo Gil de Hontañón.
Philip II gave the building to Cardinal Diego de Espinosa as a gift in 1567, but he sold it to the Márquez de Prado family five years later. In the 17th century its owner received the title of Marqués del Arco.
It has a beautiful two floor interior courtyard, with three arcaded sides and plateresque decoration of balusters, medallions with portraits and coats of arms.
