Plazuela del Real Alcázar
Header image
Situated in front of the magnificent building at the point where the rocky outcrop on which Segovia stands begins to narrow, this small square opens out to the south towards the Clamores Valley, the Pinarillo and the mountains; and to the north, overlooking the San Marcos district, bordered by the Peñas Grajeras and the Puente Castellana. Dividing this space in two is the road leading to Zamarramala, so often depicted in paintings and celebrated in song by musicians and poets.
