Lighting of monuments
The lighting of monuments in Segovia plays a key role in highlighting the city’s rich historical and cultural heritage. Architectural gems such as the iconic Roman Aqueduct stand out, shining majestically under lights designed to emphasise its millennia-old grandeur. Likewise, the Cathedral and the Alcázar take on a magical atmosphere at dusk, thanks to lighting that combines aesthetics and functionality. These installations not only enhance the beauty of the monuments but also create a welcoming setting that invites locals and visitors alike to enjoy the city in a unique and captivating atmosphere.
In addition to these iconic monuments, you can also enjoy the following illuminated buildings during your visit to Segovia:
- Town Hall
- City Walls
- Monastery of Santa María del Parral
- Monastery of San Vicente el Real
- Casa de los Picos
- Postigo del Consuelo
- Alhóndiga
- Churches of San Martín, San Esteban, San Lorenzo, San Andrés, San Juan de los Caballeros, San Justo, San Salvador and San Millán.
The decorative lighting is on from dusk until midnight on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. From the night of San Juan (24 June) until mid-September, the monuments will light up the city every day.
