Last admission is 15 minutes before closing time.

We recommend visiting the museum first thing in the morning, between 10:00 and 12:00, or between 16:00 and 17:00. For an even more peaceful experience, visit us on a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday during the low season (October to March).

The museum is closed on 1 and 6 January and 25 December, although on 5 January, 24 and 31 December, it is open from 10:00 to 14:00.

It can be reached via line 10 of the Segovia city bus service. The nearest stop is Plaza de la Merced, which is just 100 metres from the entrance.

Yes, there is a limited parking zone (O.R.A.) in the green zone near the museum. It operates Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Parking is free on Sundays and public holidays.

Alternatively, you can park in the APK2 Catedral covered car park, about 300 metres from the museum.

No, access is via stairs, which make entry impossible.

Baby carriages can be left at the museum reception desk. We recommend using a baby carrier instead.

  • Reduced* (audio guide): €3.00 / Reduced* (guided tour): €4.00* Accredited students (up to 25 years old), retired persons over 65, holders of the Amigos del Patrimonio card, holders of the ‘Amigos de Segovia’ Tourist Card, accredited large families and participants in the ‘Conoce Segovia’ visits.
  • Free**: Children up to and including 12 years of age, accredited teachers, people with a disability equal to or greater than 33%, accredited journalists and official guides.** Does not include audio guide (€3) or guided tour (€4). Guided tour for children up to and including 5 years of age: free. From 6 years of age: €4.00.
  • Free: Wednesdays that are not public holidays (does not include audio guide: €4.00).

With your ticket, you can visit the interior of the guesthouse that served as the residence of the poet Antonio Machado during his stay in Segovia between 1919 and 1932.

Yes, paying members of large families (upon proof of their status) enjoy reduced admission at a price of three euros.

The museum offers free admission to all visitors every Wednesday, except public holidays.

It is also free for children under 12 years of age.

In addition, the following groups are entitled to free admission at all times (upon proof of status):

  • Official tour guides.
  • Journalists.
  • People with disabilities.
  • Teachers.

There is no advance ticket sales, so the only option is to purchase tickets directly at the museum reception desk.

They are valid only on the date of purchase. Once inside, the ticket is valid until the museum closes.

Yes, there are tours every day at 10:00 a.m.

If you are a teacher, you can always take advantage of the guided tour programme ‘Spaces full of history’. Its aim is to provide an in-depth look at unique spaces in our city at an irresistible price. We offer guided tours that are adapted to different educational levels.

The tour costs €3 per student, lasts around 30 minutes and has a capacity of 30 people (if the number of people exceeds this limit, it is possible to divide the group into two and conduct the tour simultaneously).

Yes, paid tickets include the use of an audio guide. These audio guides are available in Spanish, English, and French.
