Church Of San Esteban

This building is listed in the National Assets of Cultural Interest.
Built in the late Romanesque style in the 12th-13th centuries, its tower is considered to be one of the most beautiful Romanesque towers in Spain. After a fire in 1896, it was dismantled and rebuilt at the beginning of the 20th century, during which the Baroque slate spire was replaced by the current tile one.
It still preserves an exceptional carving of Christ crucified with four nails and one arm freed from the cross, which came from the now disappeared church of Santiago (late 12th or early 13th century).
