Gates

Gates are elements that close off the enclosure, not only against possible invasions, but also because they have a legal, police and fiscal character, in accordance with the payment of rights of way for people and goods.

  1. San Andrés Gate.

  4. San Juan Gate (no longer in existence).
  5. San Martín Gate (no longer in existence).
     

Shutters

A shutter is an opening in the wall that is smaller than a gate and was used for people to pass through.

  1. Bishop's Shutter (no longer in existence).
  2. Alcázar Shutter (no longer in existence).
  3. La Fuente Cercada Shutter (no longer in existence).
  4. San Matías or Picado postern gate (no longer in existence).
  5. San Juan de los Caballeros postern gate.
  6. Consuelo or Santa Columba postern gate.
  7. La Luna or El Rastro postern gate.
  8. El Sol, San Miguel, Los Coroneles or Corpus Christi postern gate.

 

Fortified houses:

  1. Alcázar.
  2. Casa del Sol or Matadero.
  3. House of the Picos.
  4. House of the Counts of Chinchón, of the Marquises of Moya.
  5. House of the Cáceres or House of the Marquis of Lozoya.
